Rohit Sharma removes Shubman Gill to become the number 1 ranked ODI batter

Rohit Sharma has dethroned Shubman Gill in the ICC Men's ODI batting rankings to become the number 1-ranked batter for the first time in his career. The cricketer has moved two positions up to grab the first rank, while Shubman Gill has swapped positions with him to take the number 3 place.

Rohit Sharma jumped to the top position after scoring a fifty and a century against Australia in the ODI series. He scored 202 runs in three innings, while Shubman Gill, who was the number 1 batter, could muster just 43 runs. Rohit Sharma now has 781 points, which is 17 points more than the second-ranked batter, Ibrahim Zadran. Shubman Gill, on the other hand, has 745 points in his kitty.

Virat Kohli drops one place, Harry Brook  takes huge jump

Virat Kohli, on the other hand, has dropped one place and is now at the sixth position after two ducks and a fifty in the series against Australia. Shreyas Iyer has moved to the number 9 position, while Travis Head is now at the 13th position after failing against India.

The England captain, Harry Brook, has also made a big jump after his century in the first ODI against New Zealand. He has moved to 25th place after taking a jump of 23 positions. Daryl Mitchell has also moved one position up to take number five place.

As far as ODI bowler's rankings are concerned, Kuldeep Yadav has moved one position down and is now at the seventh position. Josh Hazlewood, on the other hand is at the number eight position after doing well against India in the ODI series. Rashid Khan continues to stay at the top of the ODI bowlers' rankings after his dominant show against Bangladesh recently.
