Injury Concerns For Tilak And Deepak Chahar; Spotted Limping Ahead Of IPL Eliminator vs GT

On Friday, May 30, Mumbai Indians will lock horns against Gujarat Titans in the first eliminator of IPL 2025. Notably, ahead of the crucial do-or-die game, the five-time winners have dealt a heavy blow as Deepak Chahar and Tilak Varma's participation are in danger after a recent video has raised injury concerns.

In the clip that has been doing rounds on the internet, MI stars were seen entering the airport, where Tilak Varma was spotted wearing a knee-cap and also struggled to walk properly, looking in discomfort as he made his way to the airport. Meanwhile, Chahar too had heavy taping around his thigh.

It is worth noting that Chahar suffered an injury in MI's last game against Punjab Kings, where the right-arm seamer injured his hamstring in his first over of the match. However, he continued with his spell, but struggled with his line and length. Despite bowling a maiden first over, Chahar gave away 28 runs in his next two overs. 

Meanwhile, Tilak too had suffered an injury scare as he injured his knee in the field during MI's match against Punjab Kings. 

Decoding Tilak Varma And Deepak Chahar's Performance In IPL

Notably, MI will miss Chahar and Tilak Varma if they fail to be a part of the playing XI as the two players have done decently well. Talking about Varma, he has been under the scanner, but still amassed 274 runs in 11 innings, which includes two fifty-plus scores. Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar has 11 wickets in 14 innings and registered an economy of 9.17.
