Kuldeep, Bumrah mop up West Indies after Shai Hope, Campbell tons

Team India inched closer to yet another comprehensive win over West Indies by the end of Day 4 of the series-deciding second Test in Delhi. Both overnight West Indies batters, John Campbell and Shai Hope notched up their respective centuries early in the morning before Kuldeep Yadav (3-104) and Jasprit Bumrah (3-44) picked up three wickets each to blow away the entire lower-half of the visitor’s batting line-up at 390.

Left to chase 121 runs for a win, Team India reached 63-1 in 18 overs by stumps, with opener KL Rahul (25*) and number three Sai Sudharsan (30*) still batting at the crease.

Muthusamy takes six, Noman Ali picks four on spin-heavy Day 2

Pakistan bundled out for 378 in 110.4 overs on Day 2 of the first Test against South Africa in Lahore. South African spinner Senuran Muthusamy picked up four wickets in the day to take six for the innings in his exceptional figures of 6-117. In response, South Africa reached 216-6 in 67 overs by stumps to fall behind another 162 runs away from Pakistan total. Opening batter Ryan Rickelton (71) and unbeaten Tony de Zorzi (81*) both punched out valiant half-centuries for the Proteas, while aging Pakistan spinner Noman Ali picked up four wickets in the innings so far at an expense of 85 runs from his 27 overs.

Chanderpaul joins Janakpur Bolts as head coach for NPL 2025

Former West Indies cricketer Shivnarine Chanderpaul has been roped in by the Janakpur Bolts franchise as their head coach for the upcoming 2025 season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). The legendary batter will be replacing Sri Lanka’s Pubudu Dassanayake in the process. Notably, under the tenure of Dassanayake, the Janakpur Bolts won the inaugural NPL edition last year and will start out the upcoming 2025 season as defending champions. The 2025 NPL season is set to be played between November and December later this year.

Pakistan to tour SL before T20 World Cup 2026: Report

The Pakistan cricket team will likely tour Sri Lanka early next year, just before the launch of the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup in India and in the island nation. As per reports, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is already in talks with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to arrange for a short T20I series in a bid to prepare for the global ICC T20 spectacle in February. It is worth noting that the Pakistani team will also play their share of T20 World Cup 2026 matches in Sri Lanka owing to their political fallout with India.

Suryavanshi to helm Bihar in Ranji Trophy 2025 as vice-captain

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been appointed as the vice-captain of the Bihar cricket team for the upcoming 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season in India. The 14-year-old will be serving as the deputy of Bihar captain Sakibul Gani. The huge announcement was made just a couple of days prior to the launch of the Ranji Trophy season. The Bihar team, under Gani’s leadership, is scheduled to face Arunachal Pradesh in their opening match of the tournament between October 15 and October 18.
