Leaving behind a legacy like no other, former India captain and spin legend Bishan Singh Bedi passes away at the age of 77, as reported by PTI. Bedi, a veteran of 67 Tests during his illustrious 12-year career from 1967 to 1979, stands among India's most celebrated cricketing legends.

Alongside Erapalli Prasanna, BS Chandrasekhar, and S. Venkataraghavan, he comprised the most formidable spin quartet in Indian cricket history, a group that reshaped the art of spin bowling globally. He was honored with the Padma Shri award in 1970.

Bedi not only contributed as a player but also captained India in 22 Tests. His pivotal role extended to India's inaugural ODI match against East Africa in 1975, where he delivered a remarkable performance, bowling 12 overs with eight maidens, conceding just six runs, and taking one wicket.
