With the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup set to be hosted in England, India Women’s is gearing up for a vital five-match T20I series against the hosts, starting this Saturday. The series will serve as a preparatory platform, allowing the team to familiarise itself with English Afghanistan conditions nearly a year ahead of the global showpiece.
Following a disappointing group-stage exit in last year’s World Cup, the Indian team will eye redemption. One of the major highlights of the series is the return of explosive opener Shafali Verma. Her comeback is expected to strengthen the batting unit.
The Indian squad also features several fresh faces, with Kranti Goud, Sree Charani, and Sayali Satghare earning maiden call-ups.
India Women Tour Of England 2025: Venue
India Women will play five T20Is, with the first game in Nottingham; the second T20I will be played in Bristol, and the third T20I will be played at The Oval. The fourth match of the series will be played in Manchester. Birmingham will host the last and final match of the series.
The three-match ODI series will start on July 16 in Southampton, with the second match at Lord’s while the final game of the tour will be played in Chester-le-Street on July 22.
