Jasprit Bumrah Stays Ahead With 100% Win Record In Asia Cup
Ever since the first Asia Cup in 1984, which India lifted, until the last edition in 2023, India have been quite dominant, winning plenty of matches. Thanks to individual brilliance as well, the Men in Blue have managed to edge their opponents, especially their arch-rivals Pakistan on multiple occasions.
While there have been some terrific overall team performances in the past, there have been some players who have outdone the opposition single-handedly, as their presence has made India a tougher opponent to beat in this competition.
And among them, topping the list with the highest win percentage for India is the right-arm pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who has featured in a total of 13 matches in both the ODI and T20I Asia Cups for India combined and has won 12 of them, with the remaining one ending in a no result due to rain.
This means, he maintains a win percentage of exactly 100%. Bumrah, who has been outrightly dominant with the ball, which is clear from the stats that his presence in the team is always a boon for the Indian side.
While the number two position is shared by both Hardik Pandya and Shikhar Dhawan, with 11 wins in 13 games, they have a win percentage of 84.6%. While former Indian skippers MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma also feature on this list, which also has players in Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja.

Now, with the upcoming Asia Cup set to be played in the T20 format, plenty of those players won't be featuring, which includes Rohit, Jadeja, and Kohli, who bid adieu to 20-over contests after the 2024 T20 World Cup, which India lifted in the Caribbean and the US.
Despite that, the Indian crop is confident and is likely to dominate again, with new players coming into the fray as India would like to maintain their supremacy in this multilateral continental event.
As for the Asia Cup, it will begin on the 9th of September with the Afghanistan-Hong Kong game in Abu Dhabi, while India will be featuring against the host United Arab Emirates in Dubai on the very next day, September 10th.
