India Unveils 'Brand New Jersey' For Asian Games 2023

Indian Team's jersey for the upcoming Asian Games have been unveiled today. The leaked picture has been circulating on social media featuring Indian Cricketers in the new kit. 

The forthcoming Asian Games is slated to be held in Hangzhou, China from 23rd September onwards. India's cricket is all set to participate for the first time in this prestigious multi-sports tournament. Though it hasn't been shared officially but it's most likely to be the same. Earlier this week on Tuesday, Indian Olympic Association's president PT Usha and Union Minister Anurag Thakur envieled the ceremonial dress and player kit for the Indian Contingent. 

Speaking at the event, PT Usha shared his best wishes for all the participants. She expects them to bring more glory this time considering there is a huge participation from the country. While Anurag Thakur said:

“It’s not just a uniform; it’s a symbol of pride and identity for our athletes. The uniform proudly represents India’s self-reliance and showcases the country’s diverse heritage and design leadership. I am confident that as much as the team will represent the young and new India; we will ensure historic performances and return with the best medal count. I urge the country to stand behind our athletes and cheer for them.”

The striking new jersey is seemed to be inspired by barious art forms across the country. IT gives a sense of unity in diversity concept. The visually appealing jersey has Ashok Chakra produly displayed at the center. This jersey's detailing is making it standout among all. The vibrant and stylish jersey suits India's sporting culture to its best.

The Men's cricket team will be headed by Ruturaj Gaikwad. He will leading a pack of strong IPL performers. India is expected to be  the favourite to win the gold medal, but expecting other teams to throw a good challenge at them.
