The United States of America (USA) will be used as a venue for the last two matches of the T20I series between India and the West Indies, scheduled for July-August this year. As reported by Cricbuzz, the five-match series will see its final two games happening in the USA, who is also the host of the T20 World Cup 2023 along with the West Indies.

While the series was earlier planned to have three fixtures, it is almost confirmed that two more T20Is will be added up and could possibly be played at Central Broward Park and Broward County Stadium, Lauderhill, Florida.

"That is the plan. Unless there is an unavoidable situation, the two extra games will be played in Florida, like last year," the official said. The CWI will entirely conduct the matches with a none to minimal role of USA Cricket, the governing cricket body in the United States," a member of the Cricket West Indies informed Cricbuzz.

No to USAC. The CWI is the event host with special commercial relations and arrangements for local operations at the Broward Stadium. This is very similar to how the 2024 World Cup will operate for the US matches," a CWI official stated.

Interestingly, India and the Windies were part of a five-match T20I series in 2022 and that also concluded in the USA, where the final two games were played.

Notably, India's upcoming tour of the Caribbean comprises two Tests, three ODIs and five T20Is. It is slated right after the World Test Championship final 2023 in which Rohit Sharma and Co. will battle it out with Australia.
