With his spell against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Guwahati, the wily spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has bagged an all-time record in the Indian Premier League. The Rajasthan Royals (RR) tweaker has gone past Lasith Malinga's tally of 170 wickets in the tournament to become the second-highest wicket-taker in the league.

After 133 outings in the league, Chahal has bagged 171 scalps, with him being just behind the legendary Dwayne Bravo, who has 183 IPL wickets in his kitty.

The leg-spinner is known for his big heart in the fast-rushing T20 game, as his greatest strength is not getting afraid of hitting by the batters. Of course, just like any wrist spinner, he occasionally goes for runs, but he, more usually than not, bags prized wickets.

The 32-year-old is one of the most celebrated bowlers in the league because he has bowled most of his career in Bengaluru's tiny stadium.

Again, Chahal has commenced this IPL season on a high, bagging four wickets against Hyderabad before snapping Jitesh Sharma's huge wicket on Wednesday.

After bowling his four-over quota, the RR bowler went back to the hut with him getting substituted for the Impact Player Dhruv Jurel.

At the time of writing, Punjab have posted a mammoth 190 runs on the board with one over still to go.
