Ishan Kishan has signed a short-term deal with Nottinghamshire for the two games of the County Championship 2025. He has now made his debut against Yorkshire, and all eyes would be on how he goes about his business in English conditions.

The Indian wicketkeeper batter is one of the two overseas players in the Nottinghamshire XI, and the second one is Pakistan's pacer Mohammad Abbas. Thus, it is a rare occasion when cricketers from two countries play for the same team, and all eyes are on how they cherish each other's presence on the field.

India-Pakistan Tussle Adds More Spice To Ishan-Abbas Union In Nottinghamshire

Mohammad Abbas has been a regular feature for Nottinghamshire over the years and has also played six matches this season, where he has picked 16 wickets. Also, the camaraderie between a wicketkeeper and a bowler is crucial to the success of any team, and thus, Ishan Kishan's addition has added spice to the County fixture.

In the past, Cheteshwar Pujara and Mohammad Rizwan have played together for Sussex in the County Championship. However, things have been hostile between the two neighbours in recent times, and thus, every single interaction between the two teams is likely to be closely monitored.

However, on the field, it is all about cricket, and both the players are quality cricketers, and they would have to play a big role for Nottinghamshire in this match. They are at the top of the table currently and would be looking to continue their domination, while Yorkshire have won just one match out of the seven played so far.

Interestingly, an India-Pakistan pair is also scheduled to play for Yorkshire in July. Ruturaj Gaikwad will join the squad ahead of Yorkshire's game against Sussex in July, while Abdullah Shafique's arrival has been delayed due to visa issues.
