Pakistan vs Sri Lanka - (Source: @Johns/X.com)
In the ongoing Asia Cup 2205 match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Sri Lanka, batting first, got off to a nightmare start as the Island Nation lost six wickets for less than 100 runs on the board. Abrar Ahmed was the star with the ball as the right-arm spinner bowled the most economical spell in Asia Cup T20 history.
Notably, Abrar, in his four overs, leaked just eight runs and took a solitary wicket of Wanindu Hasaranga. Abrar stole the limelight for his performance and also for imitating Wanindu Hasaranga's celebration.
On the 1st ball of the 13th over, Abrar bowled a brilliant googly that rattled Hasaranga's stumps, and right after the wicket, Abrar copied Hasaranga's celebration, which the Sri Lanka star spinner often does after taking a wicket.
Hasaranga Fails To Make A Mark Against Pakistan
For the ongoing match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, the Island Nation made a couple of changes and added bowling depth to their line-up in Dunith Wellalage and Matheesha Pathirana's absence.
However, in this process, Hasaranga had to bat at No.7, which didn't quite work well for Sri Lanka. The right-arm off-spinner only managed to score just 15 (13), which featured a couple of fours.
