Indian team produced a miracle in Kanpur on Tuesday and scripted a brilliant 7-wicket win to seal a 2-0 series whitewash over Bangladesh. The Rohit Sharma led side played their best cricket to churn out a result when the match was heading towards a draw.

More than 2.5 days of play was abandoned due to rain and poor drainage system at the Green Park Stadium, and hence, the game was moving towards a stalemate. However, India played some brilliant attacking cricket, led by Yashasvi Jaiswal, as the team won the match on the final day.

Jaiswal, was one of the stars of the match, as he scored twin fifties in Kanpur Test to secure a famous win for India. As a result of his stellar performance, the India youngster climbed two places to number 3 in the latest ICC Test rankings.

He now etches closer to the top spot, occupied by England's finest, Joe Root. In other news, another India star rose in the ICC Test rankings. Virat Kohli, who failed to deliver in the first Test in Chennai, showed his aggressive self in Kanpur and scored a quick-fire 47 off 35 deliveries, and in the process became the quickest to 27,000 international runs.

Again, in the second innings, he scored a gritty 27 and remained unbeaten as India secured a famous Test win. As a result, he climbed six places to number 6 in the Test rankings.

Bumrah becomes new number 1 ranked Test bowler

Arguably the best pacer of the modern era, Jasprit Bumrah dethroned teammate, R Ashwin to become the new number one ranked Test bowler on Wednesday.

Before the Kanpur Test match, Bumrah was at the second position, behind Ashwin, but has now eclipsed the off-spinner to become the King of Test cricket. He picked up 6-wickets in the Kanpur Test - 3 each in first and second innings as India convincingly won the Test.
