ICC rescheduled nine WC matches including Indo-Pak clash on Wednesday [Twitter]
In a significant development, the International Cricket Council, on Wednesday, confirmed that the tickets for the upcoming World Cup will go on sale from August 25 onwards.
After rescheduling nine World Cup matches, including the high-voltage India vs Pakistan clash, the apex body set seven different phases to conduct the ticket sale for the showpiece event.
As per ICC's confirmation, the tickets will go on sale from August 25 onwards, starting with the non-India warm-up and group-stage games. On August 30, the tickets for India's matches in Guwahati and Trivandrum can be booked. The next day, i.e. on August 31, the fans can buy tickets for India's World Cup matches in Chennai, Delhi and Pune.
On September 1, the tickets for India's matches in Dharamsala, Lucknow and Mumbai will go on sale, with those in Bengaluru and Kolkata could be purchased the next day.
The tickets for India's matches in Ahmedabad can be booked on September 3, while those for the knockout games- two semifinals and the final- will be sold on September 15.

Where To Book World Cup Tickets?
As reported earlier, the tickets can be booked online through BookMyShow and Paytm Insider. However, as confirmed by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, the spectators must show their physical tickets at the gates to get entry into the venues.
