Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar heaped high praise on left-arm leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav for his magical match-winning performance in the 3rd T20I against the West Indies in Guyana.
Having missed the previous game due to a niggle, Kuldeep came back roaring as he dismissed the likes of Brandon King, Johnson Charles and the in-form Nicholas Pooran to help India restrict the hosts to 159 for 5 in 20 overs.
He finished with impressive figures of 3 for 28 in four overs, becoming the fastest Indian to claim 50 wickets in T20Is in this process.
The left-arm wrist-spinner has taken just 30 games to breach the 50-wicket mark, overhauling the previous record held by his partner, Yuzvendra Chahal, who took 34 matches to claim the same.
Chasing 160, India lost their openers cheaply but a magical 44-ball 83 from Suryakumar Yadav, and an unbeaten 37-ball 49* from young Tilak Varma propelled the visitors past the finishing line.
While Surya and Tilak earned plaudits for their brilliant show with the bat, it was Kuldeep who proved to be the real game-changer for Team India, felt Sanjay Manjrekar.
Taking to his Twitter account, the former cricketer-turned broadcaster wrote:
"Surya was brilliant again but Kuldeep the real match-winner for me. Restricting WI to 159 by taking 3 top-order wickets including that of Pooran. Well done Kuldeep."
Thanks to this victory, India have kept their hopes of winning the 5-match series alive. The action will now move to Florida, with the first of two matches set to take place on August 12.
