On Thursday, November 7, former India captain Virat Kohli took to Instagram to announce a new partnership with Sporting Beyond, a sports marketing and consultancy company. It is worth noting that Sporting Beyond is owned by former India head coach Ravi Shastri.
Virat, last year, parted ways with Cornerstone, owned by his former friend Bunty Sajdeh. There were reports that Sajdeh had mismanaged Virat's funds, which led to a rift between the two before Virat terminated the association.
Meanwhile, Virat took to Insta and revealed about his new partnership. He wrote:
"I am excited to announce a fresh start with Sporting Beyond, my new team, who have been working with me for a while now. The team at Sporting Beyond shares my goals and my values of transparency, integrity and a love for sport, in all its forms. This opens a new chapterfor me as look forward to my partnership with my new team, who will be working with me on all of my business interests."
Fans Go Through Hundred Of Emotions After Virat's Post
It is worth noting that Virat opted for a white background and simple text for the post. Further, he started it by 'I want to announce'. Thus, the fans went through 1000 emotions as soon as they saw the post because the initial thought was that Virat announced his retirement.
Looking at the comment section, it was clear that not one but plenty of fans thought Virat retired as he is under the scanner following a disappointing series with the bat against New Zealand. Here are some of the reactions.
Other Cricketers Shifting To Independent Control Of Endorsements
