The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will resume tonight with a mouth-watering clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. RCB sit at the second place in the points table and will look to defeat KKR for the second time this season.

The Royal Challengers had injury issues prior to suspension, but barring Josh Hazlewood, the team has all the key members available as they embark to defeat the Knight Riders. If RCB beat KKR, they will get not one, but two rewards.

What if RCB beat KKR tonight?

If RCB beat KKR at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, the team will become the first side to qualify for the playoffs. So far, RCB have won 8 out of 11 matches and have 16 points to their name. Another win will take them to 18 points and a place in the knockouts.

Apart from qualifying, they will also reach on top of the table (at-least temporarily) if they beat KKR. Currently, both GT and RCB have 16 points each, but GT sit at the top due to a better net run-rate. Hence, a win against KKR will give RCB two bonuses.

RCB's key players are back

Prior to the IPL suspension, RCB had several key players injured. Devdutt Padikkal, their number 3 batter was ruled out and he was replaced by Mayank Agarwal.

Plus, captain Rajat Patidar suffered a finger injury Vs CSK and had a splint on his finger, which was removed a few days ago. Phil Salt, who was suffering from fever recovered a few days back and Hazlewood, who wasn'y supposed to come back will return a couple of days later.
