On Thursday, July 4, Team India landed in New Delhi and headed to PM Narendra Modi's Residence for a special breakfast. India lifted their 2nd T20 World Cup title on Saturday, June 29 after they beat South Africa in the finals.
The players and the support staff arrived in the national capital in the early hours on Thursday and went to Lok Kalyan Marg wearing special ' Champion' Jerseys.

BCCI released a video showing that the PM interacted with the players and even cracked a few jokes. However, the video had no audio and it wasn't clear what the interaction was all about.
In the latest events, Indian Express reported the details of PM's interaction with the players. Firstly, the PM questioned Rohit about his viral video where he ate a small piece of Barbados soil after winning the T20 World Cup trophy.
He asked Sharma how the mud tastes like after the skipper was seen putting a piece of the turf in his mouth after the victory.
Apart from Sharma, PM also asked Virat about his mindset going into the final as he had a string of low scores before the mega-clash. Meanwhile, Suryakumar Yadav was asked to relive his stunning catch in the last over of the match.
Other than that, Axar Patel was asked about his promotion in the batting line-up in the finals, while Jasprit Bumrah, who won the player of the tournament award was questioned about his planning as India were on the brink of a defeat when he returned for his 2nd spell.
