'Here We Go'- Yuzvendra Chahal Reacts After Selection In Indian Team For SA Series

India's premier leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has been one of the unluckiest cricketers as he has missed featuring in many white-ball events for the national team, most recently the ODI World Cup 2023 as he was left out of the squad to accommodate the trio of Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin.

Later, more salt was added to the wound when the Haryana spinner was not selected for the ongoing five-match T20 series against Australia after the conclusion of the mega-event. However, the fortune has finally turned in his favour, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announcing squads for the South Africa series where he has been included.

India, in December, will travel to the Rainbow nation for three ODIs, as many T20s and two Tests, which will conclude in January. The Rajasthan Royals spinner has been added for the three One-dayers that will see his return to the 50-over format after a gap of 11 months as he last featured in the series against New Zealand.

The leg-spinner posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account expressing his satisfaction over his return to the squad. He wrote,

"Here we go AGAIN!💙"

Chahal has been brilliant in both the white-ball formats with over 215 wickets, cumulatively in 152 games he has played so far.

Meanwhile, KL Rahul has been announced as the skipper of the ODI squad as seniors Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have been rested from both the shorter formats for this series.
