Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali has shared a cryptic post on his social media account. It is worth noting that the 31-year-old was recently excluded from Pakistan squad for the upcoming ODI and T20I home series against South Africa, another home ODI rubber against Sri Lanka and a T20I tri-nation series against Charith Asalanka’s troops and Zimbabwe.

While Hasan Ali made his return to Pakistan’s ODI setup a couple of months after a gap of nearly two years, the speedster failed to many any impact as he picked up just two wickets in two innings at an expensive average. However, it is his T20I exclusion that stunned one-and-all considering the fast bowler has delivered some exceptional spells off late.

Hasan Ali spreads wisdom after ODI, T20I snubs

A few days after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) excluded Hasan Ali from their white-ball plans, the fast bowler took to X and shared a message about perseverance and resilience in challenging times. The cricketer wrote:

“When the going gets tough, put one foot in front of the other and just keep going. Don’t give up.”

Hasan Ali was dropped from Pakistan’s ODI team following a lacklustre 2023 World Cup outing in India, where he picked up just nine wickets in six games at an average of 35.66. The speedster was called back into the national ODI squad for a series in West Indies back in August earlier this year, however, he managed to pick up just two wickets in two innings at an expensive average and with an economy close to six.

In contrast, Hasan Ali’s T20I form continues to remain top notch, considering the cricketer engineered Pakistan’s series win against Bangladesh in May. He also picked up a match-winning three-wicket haul in the only game he played in the recently-concluded 2025 T20 Asia Cup in the UAE.

With his latest exclusion, Hasan Ali is set to miss Pakistan’s home T20I and ODI series against South Africa, an ODI series against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi and a T20I tri-series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe; all between October and November.
