Australia are all set to visit Pakistan in early 2026 for an exciting white-ball cricket series. The tour will be played in two parts, featuring both T20I and ODI matches, as confirmed by Cricket Australia and Pakistani media.

As per the reports, the first part will be a three-match T20I series from January 30 to February 5, right before the T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka. After the World Cup, the two teams will meet again for a three-match ODI series, scheduled from March 13 to March 19. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to announce the venues and detailed schedule soon.

Pakistan to take on Australia in a two-phase series in 2026

According to the ICC Future Tours Programme for 2025–2027, Australia’s tour will include three T20Is and three ODIs. This visit will be Australia’s first trip to Pakistan since their historic 2022 tour, which included Test matches, ODIs, and a T20I, ending a 24-year gap.

Cricket Australia CEO Todd Greenberg confirmed the tour during a recent virtual press conference. He praised the strong partnership between Australia and Pakistan and said,

“I believe it will be another good tour of Pakistan. The series against Pakistan is an important part of our schedule,” Greenberg said. “There has been good communication between Pakistan and Australia regarding both red-ball and white-ball series.”

Notably, the 2026 series follows a thrilling 2024 series in Australia. In that series, Pakistan won the ODI series 2-1, their first ODI series win on Australian soil since 2002, while Australia swept the T20Is 3-0. This sets the stage for an exciting rematch in Pakistan.

Before facing Australia, Pakistan will play three ODIs against Sri Lanka in October-November 2025 and then a tri-series with Afghanistan and Sri Lanka in November 2025.
