On a terrible day in the field, Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali leaked 48 runs in his four-over spell against the West Indies in the 2nd T20I. His 16-run 19th over gave Windies an edge but left fans back home in Pakistan fuming.
Despite having a 1-0 lead in the 3-game series, Pakistan posted a low score of 133 runs in the first inning of the 2nd T20I. After the top order failed, Salman Agha and Hasan Nawaz added 38 and 40 runs, respectively.
However, the lower order failed to add any runs on the board, and the Pakistani bowler had an atrocious task at hand.

Meanwhile, Pakistan had a promising start in the second inning, with Mohammad Nawaz wiping out the top order with 3 wickets. The match unexpectedly went down to the wire, with Jason Holder and Romario Shepherd being the Windies’ last hope.
The critical 19th over was given to Hasan Ali, but he made a meal out of it. He started the over with a wide, followed by a no-ball, boosting West Indies’ confidence. Shepherd then took him on for a six at long-on.
He leaked another boundary and finished the 19th over with 16 runs as the Windies’ equation came down to 8 needed off the last 6 balls. Naturally, Hasan Ali was slammed right, left, and centre for this ordinary and expensive spell. Fans on social media demanded his immediate ouster, suggesting he doesn’t deserve a place in the team.
