The five-match Test series between India and England ended in an exciting 2-2 draw after India clinched the final Test at The Oval by just six runs. But apart from the gripping series, a funny moment featuring England batter Harry Brook grabbed everyone’s attention at the Oval

During a drinks break on Day 4 of the final Test, Brook took the chewing gum out of his mouth and casually stuck it behind his ear while he drank water. Once he was done hydrating, he popped the same gum back into his mouth and got ready to bat again.

Harry Brook’s Weird Yet Funny Ear Trick Caught On Camera

A video shared on the ECB’s official Instagram page had everyone cracking up, especially the commentators. Former India coach Ravi Shastri joked, “That’s a new one, Ricky, that’s not his earing for sure. That is his chewing gum on the ear."

Australian legend Ricky Ponting added, “Yeah, never seen that before. Surely, he’s got a couple of other pieces somewhere, saving them for the rest of the day."

Despite this humorous moment, Brook was all business with the bat. He was named Player of the Series after scoring a total of 481 runs at an average of 53.44, including a brilliant 111-run innings in the final Test. His attacking style nearly helped England pull off a record chase of 374 runs.

Walking in at 106/3, Brook and Joe Root stitched together a strong 195-run partnership, putting the visitors under pressure. But once Brook got out, England lost quick wickets and fell short by just 6 runs, letting India tie the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.

Now, with the Test series wrapped up, Harry Brook is switching gears to white-ball cricket. He’ll first captain the Northern Superchargers in The Hundred, and then take charge of England’s limited-overs squads for upcoming series against South Africa and Ireland.
