Harmanpreet Moves To 12th, Shafali Verma To 15th In ICC T20 Rankings After India Topple SA At Home

In a significant development, the Indian opener Shafali Verma has moved to 15th place along with captain Harmanpreet Kaur has moved to the 12th spot in the latest ICC T20 rankings. The rankings were released after 'Women in Blue' displayed strong performances in the recent home series against South Africa.

The Indian skipper has climbed up three places with 613 points and young batter Shafali has moved two spots to secure a place in the 15th spot.

The dynamic batter Smriti Mandhana has maintained her fifth spot as she continued to display commendable form in the recently concluded South Africa series.  

Mandhana has showcased some commendable form in the recent home series against South Africa Women and has scored consecutive centuries in the first two ODI's. In the third ODI of the same series, she made 83-ball 90 to take her tally to 343 runs in the three-match series. 

After the ODI series, she carried her form to the One-off Test match against the same opposition as she played a crucial knock, helping India win the match by ten wickets. 

Taking a look at the bowler's list, Deepti Sharma has continued to maintain her place at the third spot. The 15th spot has been secured by the seasoned Radha Yadav while Pooja Vastrakar climbed up six places to 23rd and Shreyanka Patil rose nine rungs to 60th.

England captain Sarah Glenn has scalped 8 wickets in four matches and because of this recent outstanding performance against New Zealand in the ongoing T20I series at home, she has attained a new career-high rating of 768 points. 

This has allowed the right-armer to maintain her place as the No.2 ranked T20I bowler in the world.
