Indian spin legend Harbhajan Singh is all set to make a surprising return to competitive cricket. The 45-year-old will play in the Abu Dhabi T10 League, representing the newly launched Aspin Stallions.
The Aspin Stallions are one of 5 new franchises introduced for this season, alongside Vista Riders, Ajman Titans, and Royal Champs.
The tournament will take place from November 18 to 30 and promises high-octane entertainment in the fast-paced 10-over format that has gained massive popularity since its debut in 2017.
Harbhajan Singh to spin margin in T10 League
Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh, who retired from international cricket in 2021, will join the first-ever Emirati-owned franchise, the Aspin Stallions, in the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 league.
The team is owned by Ahmad Khoori, a member of the UAE Federal National Council and a former senior vice president of Emirates Airlines.
The franchise aligns with UAE Vision 2031, which aims to boost the country’s presence in global sports.
Joining Harbhajan in the Stallions camp are several international names, including England wicketkeeper-batter Sam Billings and left-arm pacer Tymal Mills.
The team has also signed West Indies’ Andre Fletcher, Sri Lanka’s Avishka Fernando and Binura Fernando, and UAE’s Zohair Iqbal.
Harbhajan is actively playing despite retirement
Prior to the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10 League, Harbhajan Singh played in various prominent cricketing tournaments.
In August 2023, he played for Morrisville Unity in the inaugural US Masters T10 League held in Florida.
In 2025, he represented the India Champions in the World Championship of Legends (WCL), a tournament for retired players.
However, amid political tensions, Harbhajan Singh and Indian players other than him pulled out of a planned semi-final match against Pakistan and the match was cancelled.
