Perhaps the best mid-season replacement signing this season, Chennai Super Kings decided to bring in the South African star, Dewald Brevis to replace injured Gurjapneet Singh. Instantly, he lit up the tournament with some breath-taking knock, and one of them was against KKR in the last match.
His crucial fifty helped CSK break their losing streak as they got a confidence booster ahead of next season. Brevis is young, dynamic and can bat anywhere in top-4. He is an asset for the team and CSK should retain him ahead of the next season.
2) Ayush Mhatre
A future superstar in the making, Ayush Mhatre was an unknown commodity when he replaced CSK skipper, Ruturaj Gaikwad. However, fast forward to a couple of weeks later, Mhatre's rise is the talk of the town for every IPL fan.

He showed glimpses of his class when he narrowly missed out on a terrific ton Vs RCB. CSK needs an aggressive opener to replace the likes of Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway and Mhatre is the solution for it.
3) Lhuan-dre Pretorius
An underrated buy by the Rajasthan Royals to replace the injured Nitish Rana, the South African batter, Lhuan-dre Pretorius made a name for himself when he represented Paarl Royals in the SA20 competition.
He hasn't played a single game for RR yet, but his buy is a sign that the franchise is looking at the future. Shimron Hetmyer, the retained player hasn't done anything in the IPL 2025 so far, and Lhuan-dre Pretorius is a like-to-like replacement. Ahead of next season, RR could replace Hetmyer and Pretorius could be his long-term replacement.
