The Australian cricket grabbed the attention, but this time for a different reason. Former BBL cricketer Aaron William Summers, who was accused of child abuse allegations, refutes all the claims.

As the allegation rose back in 2018, the Aussie cricketer is currently on bail. The case is set to be heard at the Tasmania Supreme Court on December 2.

Aussie Cricketer Denies Child Sexual Abuse Allegations

While cricketers often capture headlines for their on-field heroics, their lives off the pitch sometimes become the center of attention as well. A similar thing happened with former BBL player Aaron William Summers. Back in 2018, the Australian cricketer was accused of child sexual abuse, including grooming and exposing a minor to indecent material.

As the case was going on, recently, the cricketer appeared in the court via phone call. During the hearing, he pleaded not guilty to the child sexual abuse charges. That added another twist in the ongoing case.

In April, the fast bowler was sent from the Northern Territory to Tasmania to face the allegations. Now, He is scheduled to appear before the Supreme Court of Tasmania on December 2.

A Glance At Summers’ Career

The fast bowler from Tasmania, Aaron William Summers’, career has been short-lived so far. He made his List A debut for Tasmania against Victoria in September 2018. In 7 List A matches, he secured 5 wickets with an economy rate of 7.54. Playing his only Big Bash League match for the Hobart Hurricanes in 2017, he conceded 31 runs and didn’t secure any wickets.

Apart from the T20 League, he played the Pakistan Super League in the 2018-19 season for the Karachi Kings but didn’t achieve success. Apart from these, he also played in the Abu Dhabi T10 League for the Deccan Gladiators. He made his last cricketing appearance in January 2021 while playing for Southern Punjab in the Pakistan Cup.
