It turned out to be a comprehensive victory for the Pakistan side, as they lifted the T20I tri-series title at Sharjah, after a comprehensive show with the ball. On the way, the Pakistan side broke several records courtesy of Mohammad Nawaz's incredible bowling spell.

How Pakistan Rocked Afghanistan With The Ball

The game, which looked largely in control of the Afghanistan side in the first half as they stymied Pakistan's batting, restricted them to just 141 after the end of the 20 overs, giving Afghanistan a crucial bonus in that game. After the end of the first innings, Fakhar Zaman emerged as the top scorer for the side with 27, while Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan claimed three wickets in his spell.

Defending 142 for victory, Pakistan bowlers gave it their everything, as they didn't let Afghanistan off the hook even once. Runs never came, as the Pakistani pacers kept their lines attacking, while Afghan batters were always under the pump.

Shaheen Afridi rocked with a spell of 1/7 in his two overs, while Abrar Ahmed was wonderful with 2/17 in his four. Sufiyan Muqeem delivered a decent and outstanding spell in his 2.5 overs, giving away just nine while bagging two wickets.

However, the real star of the night was Mohammad Nawaz, the left-arm spinner, who bagged five wickets, giving away just 19 runs in his four overs while bagging a hattrick, as Pakistan shot Afghanistan out for a paltry score of 66 in just 15.5 overs, where skipper Rashid emerged as the top scorer with a sluggish 17 off 18 deliveries.

With this victory, Pakistan have broken several records on the way, as Afghanistan batters hit a new low with the bat. With some of the records specifically held by Nawaz, the others were in favour of the entire Pakistan side, who made history in Sharjah. Overall, a total of five records were broken, as we list them all here.
