In challenging times, it's incredibly difficult to reverse the tide. Hardik Pandya finds himself in one of the toughest spots after taking over the captaincy from Rohit Sharma at Mumbai Indians, especially with the team losing two back to back games this season.

Pandya has been enduring a tough phase in recent months. Prior to the start of IPL 2024, Mumbai Indians brought back the 30-year-old all-rounder and appointed him as captain, succeeding the five-time champion Rohit Sharma. Previously, Pandya led Gujarat Titans to an IPL title in the inaugural season and to the final in the following one.

However, his promotion to MI captaincy sparked controversy among Rohit Sharma fans, as well as criticism from GT supporters. Pandya has been facing severe backlash and abuse on social media, with fans accusing him of leaving GT solely for personal gain.

After losing two consecutive games in the ongoing season of the IPL, not just fans but experts from all around the globe are criticizing Pandya for his captaincy.

However, amidst all the criticism going around, Pandya has received support from one section of the fans, with the trend going viral as "Nation Supports Hardik."

These fans understand the value of Pandya and stand by him as he faces backlash from the fans of the franchise he's leading.

Pandya will have to rejuvenate himself and start fresh as the competition is going to get tougher. The seam-bowling all-rounder will be back in action when he leads a winless Mumbai Indians against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their first home game at their fortress, the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

It's not just Pandya the captain, but Pandya the all-rounder, who must step up so that the team can get on the winning track.
