While social media was initially viewed as a boon to mankind, the vicious agendas of a few people have made the platform nothing short of a curse. People with false intentions have used it as a weapon to spread all kinds of baseless rumors and fake news.

One such incident of misuse of social media was recently pointed out by Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin. To those unversed, Ashwin is a new internet sensation. Fans adored his quirky chips on various aspects of cricket. The heartwarming response encouraged him to open up his own YouTube channel, wherein he now does a weekly round-up of news related to the field of cricket.

However, a particular X used named ‘CricketWithRosh” claimed that Ashwin hinted at CSK’s alleged approach to RR skipper Sanju Samson. In a detailed post, the X user revealed how Ashwin quipped in his latest video that CSK tried to poach Samson from RR and offered him to be a successor of MS Dhoni.

Ashwin Clarifies After Rumors Spread On His Name!

The X user also added that the trade deal was finalized, but it fell apart at the last moment as Sanju Samson turned the offer down. While Samson is not intrigued to take up the role just yet, Ashwin confirmed that a future possibility of the deal coming to life cannot be ruled out, claimed the X user.

As the post went viral, Samson’s RR teammate, Ashwin, had to step in to clear his stance. The spin wizard left a comment on the X user’s post and termed it “Fake News.” He further warned the account holder to stay wary and refrain from spreading lies in his name.

Having said that, Samson is committed to RR at this point. Moreover, MS Dhoni is yet to decide on his future as the skipper of CSK. Thus, the alleged possibility of a trade seems a far-fetched dream for now. Thus, fans are advised to cross-check before believing in any rumors whatsoever.
