New Zealand Cricket (NZC) announced the NZ-A squad for the India Tour comprising red and white ball fixtures in September.

The 15-member squad comprises seven players having experience in the international circuit. Along with them, the likes of Chad Bowes, Matt Fisher, Ben Lister, Robbie O’Donnell and Joe Walker will have the opportunity to stake a claim for their place on the senior team.

Logan van Beek makes his return to the squad after International Cricket Council allowed him to play for New Zealand and Netherlands simultaneously.

Tom Bruce and Robbie O’Donnell have been appointed as co-captains for the Tour. The squad will leave for India on Friday (August 26).

Lead Selector excited for the Tour

"It’s great to have A fixtures back on the touring calendar and even more exciting to have the team playing in foreign conditions,” said Lead selector Gavin Larsen.

“With a mix of red ball and white ball matches it’s a great chance to see the players in a variety of situations against what we know will be a very strong home side,"

“The conditions present a great opportunity for the spin bowling group in particular, ahead of future tours and ICC events in the subcontinent. Touring India is one of the great experiences for any cricketer and I know the players and staff are looking forward to the challenge.”
