Gareth Southgate might have stepped away from the football dugout, but he is clearly not done with high-pressure sporting arenas. The former England football manager was spotted at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur during Match 50 of IPL 2025 between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians.

Wearing a Rajasthan Royals jersey and all smiles in the crowd, Southgate was seen enjoying the vibe of the IPL under the lights. The man who once roamed the touchlines at Wembley is now soaking in sixes and yorkers in the Pink City.

He was spotted during the early phase of the game as RR skipper Riyan Parag won the toss and put MI in to bat. Southgate seemed pretty engaged with the game, even throwing in a few claps and cheers as Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton walked out to open the innings.

While cricket fans were amused to spot Southgate at an IPL game, it was the football faithful who stole the show with their reactions online.

"Southgate supporting RR? If they choke, I know why," wrote one user, cheekily referring to England’s habit of slipping at crunch moments under Southgate’s watch. 

 Of course, not everyone took shots. Some fans loved the crossover and welcomed Southgate to the world of IPL madness.
