Rohit Sharma has had a topsy-turvy Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season so far, with two fifties under his belt. In the last match against LSG, Rohit failed to get a big score, but a lot was expected of the MI opener as he walked out to bat at Sawai Mansingh Stadium Vs Rajasthan Royals.

Rohit survives by barest of margins

However, he almost had an early scare as Fazalhaq Farooqi almost dismissed him with a ripper, but luck and DRS was on his side. The RR pacer bowled full and on the middle stump as Rohit misses his shot and the ball copped a blow on the front leg. The umpire gave it out, but Rohit sent it upstairs.

He made the right decision as the ball pitched outside the leg stump and Rohit survived by a whisker. After the replays were shown on the big screen, Rohit had a sigh of relief, and so did his wife, Ritika Sajdeh in the stands.

The ball barely pitched outside the leg and Rohit made a smart call by taking the DRS at the last second.

Rohit-Rickelton add 58 runs in powerplay

On a tricky wicket at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Rohit Sharma struggled for a bit, but managed to score 26 off 18 balls as he survived a few close shouts. However, his partner, Ryan Rickelton took the aggressive route and smacked 31 in 18 balls in powerplay as the openers gave a fiery start and laid a strong foundation for the middle order batters to capitalise on.
