An action-packed summer of cricket awaits English fans in 2024, with the English & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announcing a jam-packed schedule on Tuesday.
The season will kick off with England women hosting Pakistan for a three-match T20I series between May 11-19.
Just like the current summer, both the men and women's team will play the T20I and ODI series respectively against their Pakistani counterparts concurrently between May 22-30.
The Men's T20I series will serve as an ideal preparation for the defending champions to fine-tune their squad ahead of the World Cup in the Caribbean.
While the men's team will take off for the Caribbean in early June, the women's team will host the White Ferns for 5 T20Is and 3 ODI between June 26-July 17.
After attracting record ticket sales this summer it is fitting that the England Women’s team will open the international season next year at an iconic venue such as Edgbaston.
“Next summer’s schedule will see England Women play at more venues and allow more people to see their heroes in action as we look to maintain the growth the women’s game deserves. Fans across England and Wales will also get to see our England Men’s world champions in action ahead of their T20 World Cup title defence, before three-match Test series against both West Indies and Sri Lanka,'' said ECB CEO Richard Gould.
“We can also confirm that our England Visually Impaired, England Physical Disability, England Deaf and England Learning Disability teams will all play next summer and that we are working to confirm the matches. With white-ball series against New Zealand for our England Women’s team and Australia for our England Men’s team to round out the international season, we are looking forward to another memorable summer.”
The men's team will open the Test summer with a three-match series against the West Indies on July 10 at Lord's.
The Test series against the WI will succeed yet another 3-match rubber against the visiting Sri Lankan team. The series will take place at Lord's, Manchester and the Oval between August 21-September 21.
The international summer will culminate with the Ashes rivals locking horns in 3 T20I and 5 ODIs between September 11-29.
