Yash Dhull to Lead as India 'A' Squad For ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 Announced

The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI), on Tuesday, announced India A squad for the forthcoming ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023, scheduled to take place from July 13 to July 23 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The Junior Cricket Committee has selected a 15-member India A squad with U19 World Cup winning captain Yash Dhull to lead the side and Abhishek Sharma as his deputy. Several other young players will be in action, including the likes of Sai Sudharsan, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel and Rajvardhan Hangargekar.

The tournament will be played between eight Asian countries which are divided into two groups. India A is placed in Group B alongside Nepal, UAE A and Pakistan A while host Sri Lanka A, Bangladesh A, Afghanistan A and Oman A are in Group A.

The boys in blue will kick-off their campaign against UAE A on July 13, followed by their second fixture against Pakistan A on July 15 and Nepal at the end to conclude their group stage. The top two teams from each group, following the end of the group stage, will qualify for the semi-final.

Standby list of players: Harsh Dubey, Nehal Wadhera, Snell Patel, Mohit Redkar
