Rahul Dravid Steps Down As Rajasthan Royals’ Head Coach

In a surprising move, the Rajasthan Royals have ended their relationship with head coach Rahul Dravid before IPL 2026. Dravid, who had returned to the franchise after his tenure with Team India, was associated with  RR for over a decade ever since his playing stint in 2011.

His coaching period was mixed, with the side lacking consistency. The news comes amid reports of skipper Sanju Samson seeking a trade, marking a major shake-up for the Royals before the next season.

Nitish Rana, Digvesh Rathi Fined For Ugly Fight

The Eliminator of Delhi Premier League turned violent when West Delhi Lions captain Nitish Rana and South Delhi Superstarz spinner Digvesh Rathi fought on the field. Heated words, mocking gestures, and abuse almost led to a physical fight before umpires intervened. Post-match, Rathi was fined 80% of his match fee, while Rana lost 50%. Other players also faced penalties for misconduct.

Rohit Sharma To Undergo Yo-Yo Fitness Test

Team India stars are set for fitness tests in Bengaluru on August 30 ahead of a packed season. ODI skipper Rohit Sharma, out of action since IPL 2025, will undergo the mandatory Yo-Yo and Dexa scans at the BCCI Centre of Excellence.

However, Virat Kohli’s participation remains uncertain despite training in London. Along with Rohit, Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Washington Sundar will also take the tests.

Salman Nizar Scripts World Record In KCL

Salman Nizar illuminated the Kerala Cricket League 2025 with a breathtaking world record. Representing Adani Trivandrum against Calicut Globstars, he smashed 71 runs in the final two overs alone, including 11 consecutive sixes.

Having crept to 17 off 13 balls, Nizar let loose fury, hitting five sixes off Basil Thampi in the 19th over and then six more off Abhijit Praveen in the 20th. His unbeaten 86 off 26 balls stunned fans.

Sreesanth’s Wife Hits Back At Lalit Modi

Sreesanth’s wife, Bhuvneshwari, lashed out at former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi after he released an unseen clip of the infamous 2008 “slapgate” involving Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth. Calling the act “absolutely disgusting”, she accused Modi and Michael Clarke of exploiting old wounds for publicity.

She stressed that both cricketers had moved on and were now fathers, but resurfacing the incident forced families and children to relive trauma. She warned that such actions were heartless, inhumane, and disrespectful to players’ dignity.
