T20 cricket always excites the fans, and there is always something new in the shortest format. But the ongoing Kerala Cricket League 2025 witnessed a T20 history as young batter Salman Nizar shattered the record book.

In a clash between Adani Trivandrum and Calicut Globstars, Nizar etched his name in the world record books by smashing 11 consecutive sixes in just 12 legal balls. That mad power-hitting left fans stunned.

Nizar Smashes Sixes Into World Record Book

As the T20 format never fails to entertain the fans, the ongoing Kerala Cricket League 2025 is no different from that, as the domestic talents of the state is setting the stage on fire. As the Adani Trivandrum and Calicut Globstars are locking horns in the 19th match, the cricket world witnessed an unreal world record by Salman Nizar.

After a slow start while batting first, Trivandrum needed a boost, and Nizar came out as a warrior. Scored only 17 runs in the first 13 balls of his innings, he turned into a beast as the opponent bowlers kept searching for the weapon to stop him.

As Basil Thampi came to bowl in the 19th over, the batter turned his spell into a nightmare, hitting five consecutive sixes in that over. In the last over, he smashed six sixes to Abhijit Praveen. In the last two overs, the batter smashed 71 runs in 12 deliveries.

Nizar’s explosive show not only earned him a world record but also set a new benchmark, scoring 71 runs off just 12 balls, the highest by any team in the final two overs. Within an exceptional innings of unbeaten 86 runs in a mere 26 deliveries, he gave a massive boost to Trivandrum’s innings.

Calicut’s Run Chase Turns Into An Uphill Battle

Chasing a mammoth total of 186 runs, Calicut’s chase started on a tough note. After Vishnu Raj walked away scoring 12 runs, the captain, Krishna Prasad, walked away scoring 18 runs. With Sanjeev Satheresan and Anantha Krishnan on the field, they are 120-run away from victory.
