The Indian cricket team is scheduled to tour West Indies in July for two Tests, three ODIs and an unspecified number of T20I matches. As per reports, Cricket West Indies (CWI) have tentatively set venues for the matches, set to be played between July 12 and August 13.

Dominica and Trinidad have emerged as possible venues for the two-match Test series; while Barbados, Trinidad, Guyana and Florida are frontrunners to host the subsequent white-ball fixtures.

Venues to be finalised after WTC final

India’s tour of West Indies will commence with the first of two Test matches from July 12 onwards. The series will be followed by ODIs, which will serve as a testing ground for both sides ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup in India later this year.

The tour will conclude with either a three-match or a five-match T20I series, likely to be played across West Indies and USA.

Apart from the dates, CWI have also announced possible venues for the fixtures. A formal decision will only be made once the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) finalises the schedule.

Meanwhile, the T20I series was originally set to be composed of three matches. However, CWI offered the BCCI for two additional T20 fixtures on the tour, in a proposal yet to be finalised by the two boards.

The fate of the T20I series’ length will be determined during the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final clash between India and Australia in London. Members from two boards are expected to meet up at the British capital to finalise the agreement.
