Dhawal Kulkarni Appointed Bowling Mentor Of Mumbai For 2024-25 Season

Dhawal Kulkarni, one of the finest bowlers to play for Mumbai in domestic cricket has been appointed as the bowling mentor of his state side for the 2024-25 season after the meeting of Mumbai Cricket Association's (MCA) apex council.

Dhawal retired at the end of the last Ranji season and played a big role in Mumbai's 42nd title win and overall picked 285 wickets in 96 first-class games. 

He has 233 wickets as well in List A cricket and 154 wickets in T20 matches and also played 12 ODIs and two T20Is for India. Kulkarni has also played for Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Lions in the IPL and his truckloads of experience is expected to be handy for the next crop of  Mumbai bowlers coming up through the ranks.

The right-arm pacer was also recently seen doing commentary in IPL 2024 and after his retirement he had expressed his desire to stay close to the game in any capacity he can.

 Along with the decision of making Dhawal Kulkarni their bowling mentor, the apex council of MCA also approved to honour Sunil Gavaskar on his 75th birthday and they have also decided to release a stamp and a coffee table book to celebrate completion of 50 years of Wankhede Stadium.
