In the world of the Indian Premier League (IPL), trades and transfers are common now, especially after the mega-move of Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya to his original franchise, Mumbai Indians. However, the deals and moves are continuing now, with another big update coming that concerns the MI camp.

According to some sources, it has been revealed that the five-time champions Mumbai Indians approached Delhi Capitals for the trade of Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh and Indian left-arm legspinner Kuldeep Yadav in an all-cash deal but it was turned down as soon as the CEO of franchise Parth Jindal got to know about it.

This is not the first instance when a deal like this has been declined; many players have been retained by their present franchises despite heavy requests from the opposition. Kolkata Knight Riders previously refused to trade Nitish Rana to Lucknow Super Giants.

Similarly, Chennai Super Kings declined the Capitals' offer for the Ravindra Jadeja trade after the two were said to be having tense relations, which eventually got better before the following season.

Meanwhile, Pandya, who was transferred to Mumbai in an all-cash deal last month, shocked everyone, considering his two successful seasons with the side, where he led them to the title in the inaugural season and runners-up place in the second edition, did not motivate him enough to stay with the side.

Additionally, Cameron Green had to be transferred to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as the MI side had to accommodate Hardik's trade.

Returning to Marsh and Kuldeep, both the players form an integral part of the DC side alongside the likes of David Warner and injured Rishabh Pant. While Marsh had a poor season with the bat in 2023, he was decent with the ball, bagging 12 wickets for his side.

Moreover, Kuldeep, on the other hand, has been crucial as he picks up wickets in the middle phase of the game.
