Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be launching their training camp for the forthcoming IPL 2024 season from March 1 onwards, as confirmed by the fast bowler Deepak Chahar via his Instagram account. Under MS Dhoni, the CSK team will be starting out the 2024 season as defending champions, having won the previous edition against Gujarat Titans in a hard-fought final.

CSK training camp to start from March 1

Deepak Chahar has confirmed that his CSK teammates will be setting up their training camp for IPL title-defense on March 1, i.e., roughly three weeks prior to the commencement of the tournament.

The IPL 2024 season itself is scheduled to launch sometime in late March. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to unveil the entire schedule within the coming days.

Deepak Chahar himself was retained by the CSK franchise back in November 2023 on IPL 2024 retention day alongside the likes of MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ajinkya Rahane, Moeen Ali and Shivam Dube.

Apart from retaining 19 players in November, the CSK management also made further additions to the squad the following month on December 19 at the IPL 2024 auction. The franchise roped in New Zealand-based World Cup stars Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell; Bangladesh speedster Mustafizur Rahman as well as local Indian talents in the form of Shardul Thakur, Sameer Rizvi and Avanish Rao Aravelly.

As MS Dhoni and co. brace themselves for the IPL 2024 season, here is a look at their entire squad for the tournament.
