David Warner Walks into Newly-Launched Threads; Cummins and Pant Come Up With Witty Remarks

The newly minted social networking platform, Threads, is grabbing headlines, positioning itself as a strong contender to Twitter's reign. Unlike the image-centric platforms popular today, Threads emphasizes conversation and creates an environment for discussions.

Warner's Threads debut marked by jovial jabs from Cummins and Pant

Among the early adopters of Threads is Australian opener, David Warner. The accomplished batsman recently took to Threads, announcing his presence on the platform with his inaugural post.

"Hey I'm now on threads @patcummins30," wrote Warner, tagging his countryman and Australian captain, Pat Cummins.

Cummins didn't delay in responding to Warner's announcement, but with an amusing twist. The cricket star playfully jabbed at Warner, advising him against bringing his popular Instagram dance videos onto Threads.

"No dance videos on here plz," read Cummins' cheeky reply.

Warner's amusing dance renditions to songs from global celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Allu Arjun became a lockdown sensation, garnering the cricketer immense response and spurring him to continue.

Jumping into the playful banter was none other than Rishabh Pant, who leads Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL which Warner is also a part of. Pant hilariously backed Cummins' advice, writing, "Best advice bro," accompanied by laughing emojis.

Meanwhile, as Warner cheerfully acquaints himself with the new platform, his performance on the cricket field presents a contrasting story. Despite Australia's impressive 2-0 lead in the Ashes 2023, Warner's personal performance has been underwhelming.

His struggles to find form have caused concern, with the star batsman failing to score a Test century outside his home turf in almost six years. His twin dismissals at the hands of Stuart Broad during the Headingley Test have further fuelled criticism, leading to calls for his exclusion from the Australian squad for the two remaining Tests.
