Headingley witnessed another extraordinary performance from England pacer Stuart Broad during Day 2 of the ongoing third Ashes 2023 Test on Friday. The English stalwart dismissed Australian opener David Warner for the third time in the series, effectively placing him under a seemingly impenetrable siege.

The ongoing third Test in Leeds has witnessed Broad's relentless bowling. Warner, falling prey to Broad's strategic assault twice in the game, was skilfully ensnared at second slip by Zak Crawley on successive days.

Reacting to the seasoned bowler’s dominance over Warner, renowned match referee Chris Broad could not contain his jubilation at his son's performance.

In a spirited jest at Warner's expense, he took to Twitter with a humorous meme from The Simpsons. The meme depicted Warner ruefully repeating the line, "Stuart Broad has got me out again," on a chalkboard.

This incident marked a significant milestone as Broad dismissed Warner for the 17th time in their rivalry spanning 29 matches. This places Broad at the third spot in the list of most dismissals by a particular bowler in Test cricket. The record is held by Australian legend Glenn McGrath, who had taken former England batsman Michael Atherton's wicket 19 times across 17 matches.

Meanwhile, Australia managed to gain a narrow 26-run lead after bowling England out for 237. At the end of Day 2, Australia found themselves at 116/4, with Travis Head batting on 18 and first innings centurion Mitchell Marsh unbeaten on 17.

With a 2-0 lead in the series, the Australian team will aim to tactically approach Day 3, focusing on setting a substantial target for England as they seek to retain the prestigious Ashes urn on English soil for the first time since 2001.
