David Warner Slams Fan For A 'Very Arrogant' Claim On Australian Team

David Warner may have maintained true grace and dignity on social media in the aftermath of India's painstaking ICC World Cup 2023 final defeat, but the triumphant Australian team's experienced opener wasn't willing to accept a claim of arrogance against his side.

Warner, who has been sending consolation messages and responses to his hurting fans and followers based in India, didn't like a comment made by one of the fans on Twitter on Thursday (November 30) as the person accused the Pat Cummins-led Aussies of being "very arrogant" about their Ahmedabad victory.

The top-order stalwart lambasted this fan with a funny quote where he asked the fan if he had met some of the players to know whether they were arrogant about their success or not. Warner laughed at the comment made by this account and insisted it was just the venting of frustration and disappointment.

The incident occurred when a X handle @nipun_pathak alleged the Australian players have been "very arrogant" and will turn "more arrogant" after their memorable World Cup 2023 win. To this, Warner responded with a funny jibe taken at the fan, reinforcing he has no familiarity or connection with the players to know if they are truly arrogant.

Warner couldn't accept the arrogant claim on what is widely regarded as one of the most well-behaved Australian side under Cummins' leadership. Warner himself has undergone a major transformation in his on-field behaviour since the controversial Cape Town 2018 ball-tampering fiasco.

The veteran left-hander, who was known for his aggressive streak on the field and instances of sledging and jeering against the opposition, has since calmed down and is seen having fun with the ground DJ's music with his dance and filmy antics.

The cricketer enjoys an incredible fanbase in India, with people showering love on him in this part of the world for being an attacking player, his longstanding IPL association and for posting regular social media clips and reels with song and dance activities on Indian beats alongside his young family.
