Major overseas players have been secured for the upcoming second season of UAE's ILT20, commencing on January 13 next year. The roster includes the likes of David Warner, Shaheen Afridi, Mark Wood, Ambati Rayudu, and Shadab Khan.

Dubai Capitals will unite rivals Warner and Wood, who recently faced off at the Ashes. Meanwhile, Shadab will join forces with his Pakistan teammates Shaheen and Azam Khan at Desert Vipers. Notably, Bas de Leede, a promising batting all-rounder from the Netherlands, has also been enlisted in the Vipers' lineup for Season 2.

Rayudu, currently participating in CPL 2023, will rejoin the Mumbai Indians after over six years. He's set to represent Kieron Pollard-led MI Emirates in ILT20 2024. Rayudu is among eight new signings for MI Emirates in the second edition of ILT20, alongside Akeal Hosein, Odean Smith, Kusal Perera, Corey Anderson, and others. Sharjah Warriors will feature Martin Guptill and Maheesh Theekshana, along with Lewis Gregory.

Capitals opted not to retain their Indian signings, Robin Uthappa and Yusuf Pathan. Meanwhile, England's veteran all-rounder Ravi Bopara shifted from Capitals to the Knight Riders' squad for the season two.

Champions Gulf Giants have added Afghanistan's all-rounder Karim Janat and spinner Mujeeb-ur-Rahman to their ranks. The young English batter, Jordan Cox, is also among the Giants' new recruits for Season 2. Dominic Drakes has been reacquired during the new player signing window.

Warriors expanded their squad by including West Indian Johnson Charles and England all-rounder Lewis Gregory. Afghanistan spinner Qais Ahmed, part of the Giants' squad in Season 1, made the move to Sharjah camp for forthcoming season.

The final step in completing the squads for the upcoming season involves signing additional players from the UAE. Further details regarding this selection process will be disclosed soon by the organizers.
