The highly anticipated ICC World Cup 2023 is just around the corner, and cricket pundits are already making their picks for this year's tournament, hosted independently for the first time by India.

With India hosting, they are one of the frontrunners for the big trophy, but no team should be ruled out in such a big event.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Star Sports Network, former South African fast bowler Dale Steyn has shared his predictions for the ICC World Cup 2023 finalists.

According to him, India and England are strong contenders to secure a spot in the prestigious tournament's final this year.

Thanks to their recent form and a strong lineup in both batting and bowling, the English team is now a force to be reckoned with in limited-overs cricket.

The defending champions are set to kick off their World Cup journey against New Zealand, the runners-up from the previous edition, on October 5 in a curtain raiser.

Meanwhile, India, fresh off a 2-1 victory against Australia in a three-match ODI series, is gearing up for the 2023 World Cup. Their batters are firing on all cylinders, and their bowlers have also looked in great touch, especially Kuldeep Yadav.

On the other hand, the Rohit Sharma-led side will kick start its World Cup 2023 journey with a match against Australia on October 8 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
