Faf Du Plessis Predicts 'This' Team To Face India In 2023 World Cup Final

A cricketing event as grand as a World Cup often draws numerous expert opinions and predictions. Expectedly, the same trend is unfolding for the upcoming 2023 World Cup, with experts offering their insights and predictions in abundance.
South African great Faf du Plessis was among the ones who joined the bandwagon and put forward a bold take ahead of the tournament. The former cricketer believes that Team India, banking on their home advantage, will reach the finals and face one of these two sides for the title.
Faf du Plessis predicts one of these two teams will reach final
One of the expert panellists for the Star Sports Network, former South African captain Faf du Plessis, was recently asked to predict the finalists for the forthcoming 2023 World Cup. While the batting legend claimed that tournament hosts India will be one of the sides to reach the final, he added that either one from Australia or New Zealand will bag the other slot for the title clash.
Faf du Plessis further praised antipodean rivals Australia and New Zealand for their ability to come up trumps in big World Cup games. He said:
“I think the most consistent teams, in my experience, have been Australia and New Zealand. They are amazing tournament players, so I’d say one of them against India in the final.”
New Zealand will kick-start the tournament with a match against defending champions England on October 5. The iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host their much-awaited fixture.
Meanwhile, India and Australia will launch their campaigns with a match against each other on October 8 in Chennai’s M. A. Chidambaram Stadium.
