CSK's Mustafizur, Shakib, Soumya Sarkar Recalled For Bangladesh's Final Two T20Is Vs Zimbabwe

Bangladesh have brought in Mustafizur Rahman, who had been playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2024, in their squad for the remainder of the five-match series against Zimbabwe. Along with him, they have recalled Shakib Al Hasan and Soumya Sarkar.
While Shakib was playing in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL), which did not allow him to play the first three T20Is, Sarkar was recovering from an injury.
Bangladesh, under the leadership of Najmul Hossain Shanto, have already won the five-match series by winning three games on the bounce. Yet they decided to bring in the star trio, which suggests they are wasting no time to prepare themselves for the T20 World Cup 2024, set to be played in the USA and the West Indies in June.
Meanwhile, Soumya’s return to the mix means there is a threat for Litton Das in the playing XI. Litton has not been living up to his lofty standards for quite a while now, and Sarkar’s comeback might force him to make a way for him among the openers.
