Rohit Sharma seems to have lost his batting rhythm off late, considering the legendary Mumbai Indians opener has tallied just 33 runs in his past five innings. Even during Mumbai Indians’ home game against the visiting Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 3, Sharma scored just 11 in the run-chase of 170 as his team slumped to a 24-run defeat at the Wankhede Stadium.

Notably, the high-profile contest was also attended by prominent Bollywood actress and self-proclaimed Mumbai Indians fan Janhvi Kapoor. She attended the iconic venue to promote her upcoming movie “Mr. & Mrs. Mahi”.

Opening the innings for Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma scored just 11 runs from 12 balls as his team slumped to a 24-run defeat to KKR. Notably, his innings also coincided with Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor briefly taking center-stage for the cameras at the Wankhede Stadium.

One particular fan of Rohit Sharma took note of the occasion and shared the video alongside a hilarious caption on X (formerly Twitter).

Notably, Janhvi Kapoor is a passionate fan of the Mumbai Indians franchise, and has often attended Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium to express her support for the local team.

Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, seems to be struggling this IPL 2024 season with the bat. So far in his 12 appearances for Mumbai Indians, the cricketer has tallied just 330 runs at a below-par average of 30. Moreover, he scored 105 of those runs in a single innings against CSK.

Sharma will now be seen reprising his role for the Mumbai Indians against KKR at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The much-awaited contest will be played on May 11.
