The newest CSK joinee was born on August 28, 2006 and the cut-off date for the tournament eligibility was September 1, 2006. As a result, he won't be able to participate in the upcoming tournament.
A batting prodigy, Sidharth quickly established himself on the domestic circuit for Tamil Nadu and played some brilliant knocks against quality attacks in the opposition. As a result of his brilliance, the youngster was selected in the India squad for the Under-19 Asia Cup. In the first match against Pakistan, he failed to deliver and could only score 15 runs.
Howeverm he showed his batting class with a masterful 35 against the Japan team. Interestingly, in the ongling Ranji Trophy, he has played 6 matches and has scored 372 runs, with four fifties to his name, showcasing the immense talent.

CSK sprung a surprise when they splashed out INR 30 lakh to draft Siddarth in their squad for the upcoming IPL season. The Tamil Nadu batter was picked because of his experience of playing at Chepauk, a venue which he knows at the back of his hands.
