Rajasthan Royals Blank CSK In Dead Rubber
Rajasthan Royals blanked CSK by six wickets with nearly three overs to spare in match 62 of the IPL 2025 season in Delhi. CSK batted first and formed 187-8 from 20 overs, with young opener Ayush Mhatre slapping 43 off just 20 balls at the top of the order. Dewald Brevis and Shivam Dube also scored quick runs at the death. For the Royals, Yudhvir Singh and Akash Madhwal picked up three wickets each in the innings.
In response, teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi clubbed 57 from just 33 after Yashasvi Jaiswal laid out the foundation with his fiery 19-ball 36. Dhruv Jurel also bludgeoned 31* off 12 balls as the Royals romped to victory in just 17.1 overs.
MS Dhoni Fourth Indian To 350 T20 Sixes
MS Dhoni became only the fourth Indian cricketer in history, after the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav to complete 350 sixes in T20s. The legendary wicketkeeper-batter achieved the feat by hitting a six against Rajasthan Royals in match 62 of the IPL 2025 season in Delhi. Dhoni scored 16 runs from 17 balls with one six to his name, extending his tally to 350 maximums from 355 T20 innings.
BCCI Unveil IPL 2025 Playoffs Schedule
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled the venue for the playoffs division of the IPL 2025 season. The first qualifier and the Eliminator match will now be hosted by the Mullanpur Stadium in New Chandigarh. The second qualifier and the grand finale, however, will be played at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Additionally, match number 65 of the IPL 2025 season between RCB and the Sunrisers Hyderabad has been relocated from Bengaluru to Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium owing to rainy forecast at the former.
Sam Cook To Debut As ENG Name Playing XI For ZIM Test
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has named England’s playing XI for the upcoming one-off Test match against Zimbabwe. Essex fast bowler Sam Cook is set to make his international debut through the match, with Ben Stokes making his return after an extended injury layoff.
Additionally, the English cricket team features the likes of Harry Brook, Ollie Pope, Joe Root among others. England will face Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge in Nottingham in a four-day Test between May 22 and May 25.
MI Rope In Bairstow, Gleeson And Asalanka For IPL 2025
In a late bid for a playoffs’ push in IPL 2025, the Mumbai Indians franchise has roped in Jonny Bairstow, Richard Gleeson and Charith Asalanka for the remainder of the season. English batter Bairstow will be replacing fellow countryman Will Jacks in the line-up, while Gleeson has been brought in as a replacement of WTC 2025 final bound Ryan Rickelton. Charith Asalanka is set to replace South Africa’s Corbin Bosch.
Mumbai Indians will now face Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings on May 21 and May 26 respectively in must-win matches.
